Artists: S.O.D.A. – Lise Huber (voc), Johannes Specht (guit), Konstantin Kräutler (dr), Oliver Steger (b);
Triotonic – Volkhard Iglseder (p), Oliver Steger (b), Bernhard Wittgruber (dr) & Marina Zettl (voc)
Already during his work on the novel “Jazz und Frieden” the contrabassist and author Oliver Steger developed his first musical sketches and the idea of producing a soundtrack to the book. His debut novel – an (almost) autobiographical story, which unfolds in the course of the narrative more and more in the realm of fantasy – was published in May 2016 in the publishing house Wortreich.
Since Oliver Steger is active as a bass player in various projects, the album “Jazz and Peace” was also recorded by the band “S.O.D.A.” and “Triotonic & Marina Zettl”.
Live the music is presented by Oliver Stegers working band “S.O.D.A.”: The charismatic singer Lise Huber has also taken over the main part of the lyrics work and converted to the music of Oliver Steger congenially. The independent sound of S.O.D.A. is completed by the tasteful and accomplished game by Johannes Specht (g) and Konstantin Kräutler (dr).
The CD presentation on 03.03.2017 in the ORF Radiokulturhaus will also be the first collaboration with the first Viennese “I can not sing” Chorus. A project that can be understood as a musical bridging. Quite in the sense of “Jazz and Peace” with the motto “Improvising, sharpened with all your senses, living peacefully.”
