Advent has always been a time for making music together. Whether in the family circle, in kindergartens and classrooms and even in the world’s most famous concert halls. Only in jazz the pre-Christmas performance has been fallen into oblivion in recent decades. Wrongly so, as Sebastian Simsa finds! It’s high time to finally revive the fund of this wonderful music – with the the free spirit inherent in jazz!
Sebastian Simsa spent a year searching for well-known and less well-known songs that touch and inspire him. Always with the greatest appreciation, but without any reverence, SIMSA FÜNF approach or distance themselves from these melodies as they reinterpret them. It sounds like Christmas and Advent, but also always of SIMSA FÜNF.
